Clean Up Day – March 19, 2022 @ 1 PM
The 2022 season is upon us! In preparation for the upcoming season we will be clearing out old growth and addressing any issues that have crept up during the winter months We will also be laying down mulch in the walkways, so if you have a pitchfork, shovel, and/or wheelbarrow you could bring it would be much appreciated. We hope to see you there!
Initial Planting – April 23, 2022 @ 1 PM
The first seeds of the season (cold-tolerant) will be planted and compost will be put into the beds. If you have a large shovel and/or wheelbarrow you could bring it would be much appreciated. Please help us start something big this season!
Planting Day – May 21, 2022 @ 1 PM
This is the big planting day of the season. All of the remaining items will be planted into the beds, the sprinklers will be activated, and the compost will be turned. There are many tasks, and many hands make light work. Come help make this season a fruitful one!
Garden Orientation – Ongoing
Our lead gardeners will be giving an orientation to the garden. If you’ve never been to the garden before, feel free to drop by and learn more about who we are, what we do, and how to help. Even something as simple as watering the plants goes a long way to help us provide food to those in need. Head over to our Sign-up page for dates and times and sign up to let us know you’re coming. We look forward to seeing you!
Rochester Farmers’ Market 2022
The Grow to Give Garden will be hosting a booth every-other week at the Rochester Farmer’s Market starting on opening day, which is usually mid-May. The initial weekend will be focused on providing information about the garden and introducing ourselves to the community. As the harvest begins to come in, the focus will transition from information sharing to selling produce for fundraising purposes. Anyone can help assist the garden and its mission by purchasing produce from our stand at the Farmers’ Market. Please feel free to stop and learn more about us.
