There are many opportunities throughout the 2024 season to help out. The events below are the big milestones throughout the season that require a lot of effort to pull off. There are opportunities for all skill levels and abilities!
CANCELLED – Clean Up Day – Saturday, March 23, 2024, 1-4 PM
The clean up for this weekend has been cancelled due to inclement weather in the forecast. Check back soon for the new date.
The 2024 season is upon us! In preparation for the upcoming season we will be clearing out old growth and addressing any issues that have crept up during the winter months. We will also be laying down mulch in the walkways, so if you have a pitchfork, shovel, and/or wheelbarrow you could bring it would be much appreciated. Please let us know you’re coming by signing up, and we hope to see you there!

Garden Prep and Seed Planting – Saturday, April 27, 2024, 1-4 PM
The weather is starting to warm and the ground is ready! Garden preparation adds compost to the beds, confirms the water systems are working, and gets the frost tolerant crops into the ground. Come and get your hands dirty with us!

Big Planting Day – Saturday, May 18, 2024, 1-4 PM
It’s time to get all of the crops into the ground! Come and join us as we plant the majority of our crops for the season. With your help, we can get the 2024 season fully underway.

Planting & Transplant Day – Saturday, June 8, 2024, 1-4 PM
Out with the old and in with the new! As the cold weather crops come out, the warm weather crops are ready to be transplanted. This is a great opportunity to get your hands on the fruits of the garden.

Garden Orientation – Ongoing
Our lead gardeners will be giving an orientation to the garden. If you’ve never been to the garden before, feel free to drop by and learn more about who we are, what we do, and how to help. Even something as simple as watering the plants goes a long way to help us provide food to those in need. Head over to our Sign-up page for dates and times and sign up to let us know you’re coming. Rochester Farmers’ Market 2024
The Grow to Give Garden will be hosting a booth at the Rochester Farmer’s Market. Anyone can help assist the garden and its mission by purchasing produce from our stand at the Farmers’ Market. Please feel free to stop and learn more about us.
